I’ve recently been approved for the Section-8 housing program for Davidson county and am having trouble finding decent housing that will accept the voucher. I would like to give you information about me as your tenant. I am an older, more mature, single female who has no children or pets that would live with me. I am currently employed and have no bad habits, i.e., alcoholism, smoking or drug addiction, nor have I had in my past. I attend church regularly and enjoy having fun and am very social. I relocated to the Nashville area for a fresh start after divorce and would like to find a place of my own. I’m very grateful for the opportunity to have been approved for Section-8 but didn’t realize that would also limit my ability to live decently. I don’t want to be treated like a pariah because I need the housing assistance since there are many advantages to having a Section-8 tenant, such as GUARANTEED RENT PAYMENT every month and monitored upkeep of your residence. I want to assure anyone who is willing to accept my voucher that I will PAY my rent ON TIME and that I will take EXCELLENT CARE of your property since I personally want to live in a clean, modern, well cared for environment.
