I am looking to buy some rentals and was wondering what type of properties would best serve the Section Population in Rapid City Area? I was thinking more single family than apartments or would condos be best?
Section 8 help. I am in the process of relocation from nebraska to rapid city because I am on disability and my family is there and i need support at times. I currently do not get section 8 in nebraska ( i am qualified for it but choose not to take it because i live in a complex owned by ex inlaws and they help with rental assistance when i need it).
I need help with locating someplace to apply for section 8 in Rapid City or surrounding areas. Is there a way I can apply by email or snail mail? WERE do I go or contact.
I im not in need of immediate assistance as I am looking for about 6 months to 8 months before I pack my house then about 2 months after that. (lol, yes I am a slow mover).
Any help would be perfect.

How do I get my section 8 apartments, Eagle Ridge Apartments in Rapid City SD on this list?
Rapid City needs more one bedroom section 8 approved properties with landlords that do repairs. The slumlord I have right now, doesn’t do repairs so I have to involve Pennington County Housing for help lighting a fire under his butt to do some repairs. Then I get to deal with massive retaliation from the slumlord. This slumlord let’s his maintenance men have keys to all apts and pretends not to notice when they steal from the tenants. I can’t wait to get out of here. This last summer he gave apt 2 keys to my apt when i was gone. She poisoned my main emotional support kitty. I had him nearly recovered and the ac quit in my place. Slumlord refused the repair and didn’t allow my own be put in. My vet said my kitty would’ve survived had he not been over heated at home. Now neighbor breaks in attempting too kill kitty number two while I’m gone. But kitty two, is trained to hide under bed if momma don’t come through the door. So far we are good, but ISO something better.
I’ve reported the drug dealing from apt 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, & 10 but slumlord is afraid of retaliation so won’t do anything. Apt 2 sublets on section 8 and again slumlord is afraid of retaliation. This is what single disabled women without children deal with in Rapid City on section 8. Not fair.
