I personally think that section 8 housing is very helpfull and a good environment for families who are having a hard time with financial situations. I am also one of those who needs this kind of help I am a single parent working part time and I have no place to live so I feel that section 8 would save my life.

That is fine, but I hope you realize that the only way the government can afford such a program is by taking the money from some other hard working individual and putting the money in your pocket. What you are enjoying is at anther’s expense.

Any gooverment assistance is for helping the people manage or navigate smoothly. You may have a job today but lose it tomorrow to unforseen circumstances. Then what are you going to do. Be homeless and starve or commit suicide because you have your pride. What if you have kids? Are you going to give them up to foster care or do what you can even if that mean depending on food stamps and section 8 to make life more comfortable. It is much cheaper for the goverment to provide these programs to familes until they can get on there feet than to take care of an orphaned chil from young age to 18. So before you try to make someone feel bad for accepting help ook in the mirror because you’re just 1 day from receiving help yourself. Is your job that secure? I bet you even have family members getting govt. help. So think twice before you make a judgement.
